Thanks to Ronnie @ BLP for working that magic

By News

From the start of recording TRS’s debut album, there was a desire to include an external co-producer for mixing and mastering the tracks. After careful consideration, the choice fell on experienced musician Ronnie Björnström from Sundsvall. Ronnie, who runs Björnström Sound and Productions, has extensive experience working with metal bands and is himself an active guitarist in Mezzrow, a thrash metal band originating from Nyköping whose debut album “Then Came The Killing” was released in 1990, around the same time as TRS’s debut single “Hammerdown” was created.

Ronnie Björnström is well-known as a sound wizard in the metal world and has previously collaborated with bands like Sorcerer, Meshuggah, and 220 Volt, among others. His solid background in the genre was one of the main reasons he was chosen as co-producer for TRS’s project. Ola and Thomas, particularly curious about exploring how TRS would sound with a slightly heavier tone, were inspired by Ronnie’s insights and fresh ideas, which not only enhanced the overall sound but also took the concept to new heights.

The result exceeded both Ola and Thomas’s expectations, and with Ronnie’s contribution as co-producer, a final product and sound were defined that characterize TRS in a distinct way.

The Rebel Saints – One Year Later: What’s Next?

By News, Releases

Hey everyone, long time no see!

One of our last posts back in spring 2024 was about a Swedish hard rock podcast in Stockholm, where we had the chance to chat for an hour about our debut album. During the interview, we got hit with an unexpected question: If they arranged a gig at one of Sweden’s music festivals, would we show up and play live?

Honestly, when we first recorded the songs, our only goal was to collect some old and new material, release them on Spotify, and share them with family and friends. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect the album to rack up over 170,000 streams in its first year and land on 7,900 playlists!

So far, we’ve had 53,000 listeners worldwide, with most of you tuning in from the U.S., Germany, Brazil, and Spain, besides our home country, Sweden. Our music has even made it onto radio stations in the U.S., Mexico, Spain, the U.K. and just recently, Poland! – not to mention our very first interview, which was done by our local radio station just days after we released our debut single, Hammerdown.

We can’t thank you enough for the love and support! It’s been an incredible ride, and we appreciate every single one of you.

So… What’s Next?

The big question last summer was, What now? Many of you asked if we’d form a band and play live. Thomas decided to take the summer off to focus on songwriting first and see if there was more music waiting to be written. Just like in 2020—when the songs for our debut album were born—this creative break would perhaps turn into something bigger.

And that brings us to today, almost a year after we were in the middle of releasing our first three singles. So, what now? Well… stay tuned, because things are about to happen!

Let’s kick things off with something special: our debut album is coming to vinyl! We’re also launching our very own merch shop, where you can grab your copy of the vinyl LP, along with some awesome t-shirts and accessories.

More news is on the way soon. Until then, keep rocking!

TRS Debut Album on a Limited Edition Vinyl LP

By News, Releases

TRS Vinyl – Made in Sweden
After searching all over Europe for a company to press our debut album on vinyl, we finally found the perfect fit right here in Sweden. The result was well worth the wait, and we are now releasing the first 200 albums as a Deluxe Quality 180-gram vinyl LP.

About the Songs on the LP
We knew from the start that we wouldn’t be able to fit all the songs from the digital release, as a vinyl LP has a maximum of 23 minutes per side. So, we carefully selected the 9 most popular songs on Spotify in 2024 to feature on this special edition.

The Rebel Saints in the Studio – New Album in the Works!

By News, Releases

Hey everyone, exciting news! We’re back in the studio, working on our second full-length album. Our debut took nearly four years to complete before its release in 2024, but this time, things are moving much faster. We can’t wait to share brand-new songs with you!

Right now, we’re focusing on the first batch of five tracks. They’re still evolving, but we’re beyond excited about the new material. The creative process has been just as fun as last time, and it truly feels like a continuation of our debut.

Thomas started writing new songs last summer, building on ideas that surfaced during the recording of our first album. Songwriting is unpredictable—you never know where it will take you. But somehow, we always end up with plenty of material to record, and here we go again!

The response to our debut album, The Rebel Saints, has been amazing, especially with singles like Hammerdown, Said and Done, and Woman. This new material stays true to our sound while bringing fresh energy and depth.

As always, the chemistry between Thomas Anderberg (vocals, bass, keyboards, and drum programming) and Ola Berg (guitar and backing vocals) is the driving force behind everything we do. Get ready for some new tracks that will blow you away!

If you haven’t checked out our debut album yet, now’s the perfect time! The Rebel Saints is available on all digital platforms and on vinyl in the TRS Webshop. This journey has been incredible, and we’re pumped for what’s next.

Stay tuned on our socials for sneak peeks and updates as we get closer to releasing the first single!
