“Whiskey And Wine” was written by Thomas Anderberg in 2025 as part of the new upcoming album project 2026.

The track features Italian keyboard legend Alessandro Del Vecchio – known from Hardline, Jorn and Revolution Saints – on Hammond organ and mono-synth.

“Whiskey And Wine” is the band’s fastest and most explosive track to date — a raw, high-octane tribute to 70s boogie-hard rock that doesn’t let up for a single second. The dramatic centerpiece of the song is a duel between guitarist Ola Berg and Del Vecchio’s mono-synth, drawing direct inspiration from the spirit of Jon Lord and Don Airey.

“Story Goes On” was written by Thomas Anderberg in 2024 as part of the new upcoming album project – and in many ways, the song captures the very essence of what The Rebel Saints is about.

The song is a road. Literally and figuratively. Lines like “Chasing shadows down a lost highway” reflect the constant search for new musical paths and ideas, while “We are rolling like a storm just moving on” embodies the unstoppable force that drives us forward – uncompromising, loud and proud, just keep rocking.

Where some songs are built around a specific moment or decision in the studio, “Story Goes On” came together the way the best ones often do – it simply felt right. It fit naturally into the world of The Rebel Saints, and that was reason enough.

“Woman” emerged as one of the initial compositions Thomas Anderberg crafted while recording the remake demo of “Hammerdown” in the songwriting studio in 2020. Originally tailored to complement Ola Berg’s guitar prowess, “Woman” was envisioned as a primarily guitar-driven piece.

As the production evolved over the following year, the introduction of keyboards brought a new dimension to the song. Polyphonic strings were incorporated to evoke a nostalgic 80s ambiance, enhancing its sonic landscape. The lyrics resonate with the spirit of some of Thomas and Ola’s early 90s compositions—uncomplicated yet profound, echoing influences from the 70s and 80s, mirroring the simplicity and directness of the music itself.

“Hammerdown” was the first of the old songs from the 1990s that was brought back to life in 2020. Thomas rewrote the lyrics, which starts with the line “Let’s get together, let’s have a good time”. The words in that sentence became a leitmotif for the entire production.

The lyrics is basically about getting together and having fun. However, Thomas sometimes create multiple interpretations within the songs, and “Hammerdown” is one of those. The lyrics could be about a girl. Or maybe it’s about a car? It leaves you to uncover and interpret.
